6th grade Earth Science – Course Syllabus
Ms. Melissa Brumbaugh
Curriculum: The middle school earth science course is designed to give all students an overview of common strands in earth science including, but not limited to, meteorology, geology, astronomy, oceanography, resources, and human impact on the earth.
Instructional Methods: Lecture, class discussions, multimedia presentations, and use of the science lab will be used to instruct the students.
1. Be on time - 3 tardies -lose CHOICE points.
2. Be prepared - could lose CHOICE points
3. Be respectful of the teacher, classmates and school.
4. No food/drink/candy/gum (except bottled water) allowed in classroom.
5. Must have TCMS student agenda in class daily.

Attendance and Make-up Policy: If possible, please inform the teacher in advance of an absence. The student is responsible for asking for and making up missed assignments within an appropriate time frame.
